Man dead, 2 injured following shooting in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man is dead, another is hospitalized and a woman is injured following a shooting in Fresno, the Fresno Police Department said.

Officers say they responded to the 3700 block on N. Abby St., in Fresno at around 9:45 p.m. for a ShotSpotter activation indicating shots being fired in the area.

Upon arrival, police say they found a man in his mid-30s suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators say they learned another man in his 30s self-transported to a local hospital for a gunshot wound related to this incident. The man is listed in stable condition.

According to detectives, a woman in her 20s in the area was grazed by gunfire. She was treated at the scene and is expected to be okay.

The name of the man has not been released. This is an ongoing investigation.
