    3 evacuation orders remain as crews work on Boone Fire

    FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – It has been a week since the Boone Fire first ignited just outside Coalinga and Cal Fire is continuing to make progress to extinguish the flames.

    As of Tuesday afternoon, firefighters have only placed the following areas under evacuation orders:

    • P12C
    • P21C
    • P22C

    All other previous evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted.

    Boone Fire crews taken by helicopter to battle blaze

    Cal Fire reported Tuesday afternoon that the fire has burned 17,600 acres and containment is up to 44%, a 10% increase compared to Monday.

    Firefighters have not reported any structures destroyed and the only two firefighters injured sustained minor injuries. As crews work to contain the fire, they ask the public to follow road closures and to avoid and report downed electrical wires to PG&E.
