Person critical and 1 detained after stabbing in Visalia

VISALIA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A person has been listed in critical condition after being stabbed in Visalia, the Visalia Police Department said.

Officers say they were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Santa Fe Street just after 7 p.m. for a stabbing.

According to police, one person was detained in connection to the stabbing, and the victim was transported to a local hospital where they are listed in critical condition.

The Police Department Violent Crimes Unit is currently investigating the incident. Anyone with any information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the Visalia Police Department at 559-734-8116. Anonymous tips can also be provided at 559-713-4738.
