Man arrested in connection with homicide in Tulare

TULARE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man has been arrested in connection with a homicide, the Tulare Police Department said.

On July 6 at around 10:45 p.m., police say they received multiple calls regarding an incident on the 200 block of South H Street in Tulare.

The callers advised of hearing gunshots in the area and of a possible traffic collision. Upon arrival, officers said they located a vehicle in the yard of a home. They also located a male driver in that vehicle and observed him to have injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

Medical treatment was started and the man was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was listed as in critical condition at the time.

On Tuesday, detectives say they arrested 22-year-old Isaiah Gabriel Zapata in connection with the homicide.
