LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) — An Acadiana boy and Disney Classics fan battling cancer is getting his wish come true - a trip to Disney World in Orlando. Finn, 7, of Lafayette, was given a proper Disney send-off by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Wine and Wisdom on display at Catholic Daughters of Americas Fundraiser
Hope springs eternal, and both hope and spring were in the air at the Wisdom of the Daughters Wine tasting and fundraiser. The bright and cheerful occasion drew a large crowd of ladies who enjoyed an afternoon of wine tasting, games aimed at testing one’s knowledge of religious tradition and history, and drawings for some sweet door prizes. It all took place on April 6 at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette.

That roof top coffee bar at Jet Coffee? Owner John Tommasini is serious when he says it first came to him in a dream. He dreamed he was on the roof of the new location, hitting golf balls off in the direction of what later would become Topgolf. Now, with the 528-square-foot space overlooking south Lafayette at the growing brand’s 2,400-square-foot location that is by far the most unique, Tommasini is hoping it’s another step in his plan to pepper south Louisiana with Jet Coffee locations.
