Yoder ran for 163 yards, including a short touchdown run early in the second quarter for the game’s first points. Imoh added 103 yards on 12 carries. Darius Wilson threw for a score and ran for another for the Tribe (4-0, 2-0 Coastal Athletic Association), ranked fifth in the FCS coaches poll.
Yorktown golfers second for fifth straight season in district
For a fifth straight season, the Yorktown Patriots finished second to the Langley Saxons in the Liberty District golf tournament. This fall, the Patriots carded a 308-309–617 team score in the 36-hole high-school event held at the Herndon Centennial Golf Course. Langley shot 287-296–583 over the two days on Sept. 19 and 20.

American Gold Cup
This was the final week of equestrian at the Traverse City Horse Shows in Williamsburg. It's also the biggest weekend at the Flintfields Horse Park, the American Gold Cup is taking place. This is one of the biggest equestrian festivals in the world, the horse park was packed each day. One of the major events was the Premiere Equestrian CSI5* team competition. It was a close one, but Team KPF won the competition. KPF was made up of an American trio of Natalie Dean, Kent Farrington and Alison Robitaille. Robitaille's final ride delivered the win for KPF. The main event was American Gold Cup Grand Prix CSI5*. The competition came down to a jump-off with 8 jumpers. The winner was Karl Cook of the United States. He had the best time in jump-off. Cook edged out Ashlee Bond, Bond represents Israel. Kent Farrington of Ireland came in 3rd. The top jumpers of the Gold Cup, were ecstatic to make it to the podium, especially in an event which is one of the biggest in the very sport.
College drops 12 spots to No. 53 in new US News’ National University Rankings
Monday, Sept. 18, The College of William and Mary fell 12 spots in the U.S. News and World Report (USNWR) 2023-24 Best National University Rankings, dropping to No. 53 from No. 41. This marks the College’s largest single-year position change in the rankings since 1996. Since 2018, the College has dropped 21 spots.
