The reigning District 3 4A champions will get another chance to secure a gold medal.

Posting five runs in the top of the sixth innings, East Pennsboro reorganized a three-run deficit into a 7-6 semifinal triumph over top-seeded Bermudian Springs Thursday.

Dakota Campbell, Chase Deibler and Lucas Martz all cashed in two RBIs to hoist the Panthers.

The fifth-seeded Panthers (14-7) will try to repeat Tuesday when they play No. 6 Hanover at a site and time to be announced. Hanover defeated Northern Lebanon 6-5 Thursday.

Deibler picked up the victory in relief of starter Niko Thalassinos. The former worked four innings and allowed a single earned run. Deibler fanned six and only walked one.

Isaac Gilbert picked up the save with a clean seventh. The Panthers, who defeated Littlestown 9-4 in last year’s 4A finale, also won the 4A title in 2019.

Steel Bayer chipped in two runs and an RBI Thursday vs. the Eagles (17-5).
