South Carolina man robs convenience store clerk using toy Nintendo ‘Duck Hunt’ pistol

He ran a-fowl of the law.

A South Carolina man was cuffed and slapped with armed robbery charges after he allegedly held up a convenience store using a Nintendo “Duck Hunt” game pistol, authorities said.

David Dalesandro, 25, barged into a Kwik Stop store in Sharon on Tuesday at about 5:45 p.m. and flashed the toy gun at the cashier while demanding money, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Dalesandro was dressed in a wig, mask and hoodie and had spray-painted the video game pistol all black so it looked more realistic when he lifted his shirt to reveal the fake gun jutting out of the waistband of his pants, the office said.

The store clerk removed approximately $300 from the register and handed it to the alleged “Duck Hunt” robber who fled the scene.

Deputies soon found him just down the street from the Kwik Stop in the parking lot of a Dollar General, according to the sheriff.

The suspect then flashed a fake gun tucked into the waistband of his pants at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register.
