No matter which way you slice it - art or vandalism - another pizzeria has been tagged with a spray-painted pizza. Roma II on 152 Lockwood Ave. in Yonkers is the latest pizzeria to be hit.
So far, the vandal has tagged several Westchester pizza places including places in New Rochelle, Larchmont, and Eastchester, leaving behind their signature piece of art – a pepperoni and green pepper slice. The owner of Roma II, Frank Perri says he saw it when he came into work Sunday morning – and he likes it.
He says many customers have been taking pictures with it.
As of right now, he has no plans to take it down.
"I kinda like it to be honest with you. And I know this guy is going around, he's going to selective pizzerias, and I'm not trying to say I'm number one but he didn't just pick any pizzeria, he picked pizzerias that you know have decent names to it," says Perri. Police say vandalism of private property is illegal, and the vandal could face fines or criminal charges.
