‘This scene was chaos: multiple victims, a house on fire and a madman on a rampage on a mission’

A 33-year-old man from Englewood was killed in an early morning crash Sunday on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. A preliminary investigation revealed a Dodge minivan was parked on the parkway’s shoulder in the area of milepost 155.7 in Clifton when it was struck by a Dodge pickup heading north, said Jeffrey Lebron, a detective and spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police.

The NYPD says that a 49-year-old man died after a fight with a nurse at NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in the Bronx on Friday. After the man was hurt in a car accident, EMS first went to his home on Prospect Avenue in Mott Haven to help him. As the man was being put into an ambulance, he hit a 33-year-old first responder in the head with his head.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi to be treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.
