One killed, 6 injured in Tchula mass shooting
Www.wjtv.com – Kaitlin Howell – 2023-09-18 20:10:23. SUMMARY: One person was killed and six others were injured in a mass shooting at Damix Pool Hall in Tchula, Mississippi. The shooting occurred after 11:00 p.m. on September 15. Five of the victims were taken to a hospital in Lexington, two of whom were in critical condition and had to be airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Tchula Police are searching for two suspects who used an AK-47 and AR-15 and fired over 50 rounds. The suspects' abandoned car was found on Howard Bottom Road, and they are believed to be responsible for recent robberies as well.

The affected areas include southwestern Sunflower County, west central Holmes County, southeastern Washington County, northwestern Yazoo County, north central Issaquena County, Humphreys County, and Sharkey County. A severe thunderstorm was reported near Anguilla, moving southeast at 25 mph. This storm is expected to bring 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, resulting in potential damage to vehicles, roofs, siding, and trees. The storm is projected to reach Louise by 7:45 PM CDT, Holly Bluff by 7:50 PM CDT, and Yazoo City by 8:00 PM CDT. The radar indicates a maximum hail size of 1.00 inch and maximum wind gusts of 60 mph.
