Warm and Breezy
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Good morning Texoma! Temperatures this morning are starting in the low-to-mid-30s. It’s a seasonal start this morning, but we’re expecting a very mild afternoon today as highs are expected to hit 70 degrees across much of Texoma. As we progress throughout the morning hours, we’ll see some gusty conditions as we warm up with wind gusts of 20-25 MPH. Once we get to lunch time, those winds will taper off some and transition to a light breeze for the second half of the day. Heading into tomorrow, temperatures start in the low-40s, but we’ll warm up into the upper-60s. We’ll also see a front pass through the area tomorrow morning, but we’re not expected to feel the cool weather until Sunday as our highs only top out in the low-40s.

Weekend Arctic Blast
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - An Artic invasion will take place this weekend across the northern and eastern parts of the country. Texoma will be on the tail end of this blast with the brunt remaining north and east of us. Two fronts will impact us this weekend. The first arrives on Friday with winds becoming northeasterly behind it. The air behind front number 1 isn’t that cold and expect only a little drop by Saturday morning. In fact, we may warm up a bit on Saturday before a much stronger blast of cold air arrives Saturday night and Sunday with blustery north winds and temperatures taking a nose dive. We’ll like see lower 20s by Sunday morning with real feels in the teens. Sunday looks pretty chilly as highs only rise into the upper 30s and lower 40s. The blast of cold air quickly shifts east of us with what looks like a fairly mild weather pattern as we head into next week.
