Waffles Caffe in Yakima Puts Ice Cream on Your Waffles. You’re Welcome

The other day it was my oldest's birthday. They chose our breakfast destination and opted for Waffles Caffe. It's a place I've loved ever since they came to Yakima but, admittedly, I hadn't been here for a little while so I was happy to return. No complaints for me!

Everything on their breakfast menu is an instant winner but what got me, especially in my younger years, was the fact that they sell waffles with ice cream as a topping. Not just whipped cream (though they add that, too) but full-blown a scoop or so of ice cream.

Combine that with whatever other toppings, depending on the waffle you order.

Not every waffle has ice cream. Some have Bavarian cream which is wonderful or others are just standard whatever it takes but, trust me, if ice cream is an option I'll often gravitate towards that one.

There's nothing stopping me from putting ice cream on my waffles at home, but the waffles at Waffles Caffe just hit different. I like everything else on their menu as well. Fantastic chicken fried steak, crepes, biscuits and gravy, the bacon is incredible and so much more, but if I'm going to a place called Waffles Caffe, I'm gonna order the thing that their namesake is named after.

But I'm not here to tell you what to order. You can order anything your little ol' heart desires. Me? My heart doesn't just desire but requires ice cream.

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery.
