Weather Forecast: Rain/snow mix expected early Saturday
ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – Lots of rain for lots of folks. Our Friday featured a relative lull in the rain this as low pressure to our north starts sliding eastward. While this is happening, winds will shift to the west and eventually northwest, drawing progressively colder air into the region. This will allow some of that cold rain to mix with and change over to snow into Saturday morning.
Winter Weather Advisory Includes Cattaraugus County
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Cattaraugus, Southern Erie and Wyoming counties. The advisory takes effect at 11 p.m. Friday and will remain in place until 2 p.m. Saturday. Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected, with the highest accumulations "falling across the higher terrain inland from Lake Erie."
