Erie, Pa ( WJET/WFXP ) — In the early morning hours on Monday, State Police responded to reports that two vehicles were stolen from the Humes Dealership in Waterford.

Police were told that the complainant arrived at the dealership due to an alarm when he noticed that two vehicles had been stolen from the business.

One of the vehicles stolen was a 2024 red Dodge Hornet which was located later in the day.

The other vehicle was a 2023 blue Dodge Challenger. Around an hour later while searching the area of East 6th Street and Ash Street, PSP Erie located the 2023 blue Dodge Challenger.

When PSP attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed leading police on a 35-minute chase covering 61 miles. The chase crossed state lines into New York State and was terminated around Irving, New York, along Interstate 90. NY State Police terminated their pursuit after they were unable to keep pace with the vehicle, at which point PSP terminated their chase due to a lack of New York State Troopers able to assist.

Police are still searching for the 2023 Blue Dodge Challenger (See picture below for reference), if you have any information about the stolen vehicle you can call PSP Erie at (814) 898-1641.
