Ribbon cutting officially opens music school in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A special ceremony took place for a new business in Terre Haute.

A ribbon cutting marked the official opening of the Terre Haute Music School. It is located on the corner of Wabash Ave. and Monterey Ave. and offers lessons and classes to people of all ages. Owner Lynette Browne says that the school provides an opportunity for local music lovers to get personalized attention and reach their full potential, or where beginners can discover a new hobby.

“This is a lifelong activity,” Browne said. “I have so many students and adults that tell me, ‘I love my practice session because it gets me away from the world, it’s just me and my music for a half an hour.’ It really does provide stress relief, it provides a nice way to be creative in a very constructive, positive way.”
