West Virginia man dies in crash on Interstate 70

A Wheeling, West Virginia man died in a crash on Interstate 70 on Tuesday.

Officials say Christopher Clutter, 35, of Wheeling, died from his injuries after a crash in Washington County in Donegal Township near the Claysville exit.

Clutter allegedly left the roadway and crashed between 4 am and 8:22 am when officials say the wreckage was found.

Officials say Clutter was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.

The cause of Clutter’s death is pending an autopsy.

The crash is being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police
