Ohio woman arrested after man found in small wooded area with multiple gunshot wounds

An Ohio woman has been arrested after a man was found in a small wooded area with multiple gunshot wounds.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Officer said they responded to a shooting of a 51-year-old on State Route 26 in Woodsfield, Ohio.

Deputies say when they arrived they found the victim over an embankment in a small wooded area a short distance from the residence.

Deputies and Woodsfield EMS began rendering medical attention to the victim, who was found to have been shot multiple times, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was later transported by medical helicopter to a Hospital.

Deputies say they received a search warrant for the property and began processing the scene. During the search warrant multiple pieces of evidence were located leading to the arrest of Jenny L. Brown, age 46, of the residence, according to deputies.

The Sheriff’s Office says this case remains under investigation and has been submitted to the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office for official charges.

Detectives are continuing to monitor the victim’s medical condition at this time.

The name of the victim has not been released at this time
