    Update: Man dead after multi-vehicle crash in Cambria County

    UPDATE:

    CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — An Allegheny County man died in the multi-vehicle crash in Jackson Township on Wednesday, according to media partners at the Tribune-Democrat .

    Kenneth Wesolowski, 33, of West Mifflin, was driving a little after 12:30 a.m., when his Volkswagen Sedan hit the back of a Nissan Sentra that was turning onto Mile Hill Road, according to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees.

    Wesolowski was thrown from the vehicle after it turned over multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:57 a.m., by Medical Command Physician Dr. Scott Magley, the Tribune-Democrat reported.

    An autopsy showed that Wesolowski died from multiple blunt-force traumas to the upper torso, according to Lees. The death is being ruled accidental, with toxicology results pending.

    The driver of the Nissan’s condition is still unknown, however they were transported to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for their injuries.

    A second crash happened when a third vehicle drove up to the scene, stopped and was eventually hit from behind by a fourth vehicle, according to Jackson Township Captain Phil Vaught. No injuries were reported for the second crash.

    All four vehicles were towed from the scene, with the eastbound lanes shut down until the wrecks were cleared. The road was closed for almost five hours and reopened around 5:30 a.m.

    CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — One man is dead after a multi-vehicle crash in Jackson Township on Wednesday.

    Police were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Jackson Township along Route 22 at Mile Hill on Sept. 11, around 12:30 a.m. One person, a male believed to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene by Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees, according to Jackson Township Fire Department.

    Crews were on the scene for nearly five hours after the crash, conducting reconstruction and cleanup. One person was also transported to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Hospital, however, the department said that their injuries and condition is unknown at this time.

    Lees has an autopsy scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 11. The identity of the deceased male has yet to be released.
