GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A man has been arrested in connection to the shooting of a woman found dead next to a wrecked vehicle.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Michael Lewis Moore in connection to the murder of Michez Fowler.

On Monday, deputies were called to Valentine Street for reports of shots fired from a vehicle. When they arrived at the scene, they found a red Kia that crashed into a fence in the front yard of a home.

Fowler was found next to the car deceased.

Further into the investigation, investigators learned Fowler’s death resulted in a domestic-related dispute.

According to deputies, Moore was riding in the Kia when he reportedly shot and killed Fowler while she was driving. After the shooting, the vehicle came to a stop when it struck a fence.

    Moore ran from the scene.

Deputies arrested Moore at his home located at Honour Street according to authorities. He has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Moore remains in custody at the Greenville County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.

Fowler’s death remains under investigation by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
