    13-year-old detained for threats against Upstate school: Sheriff

    WALHALLA, S.C. (WSPA) — Deputies detained a 13-year-old boy Monday, after he allegedly made threats against Walhalla Middle School.

    According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, a school resource officer investigated the student, finding evidence that the boy made verbal threats towards the middle school.

    The student corroborated the threats with officials.

    The teen was charged with making school threats and was taken into custody with the Department of Juvenile Justice.

    Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw said that any direct threat made against schools in the county will be investigated.

    “Those responsible will be charged and held accountable for their actions,” Sheriff Crenshaw added.

    he also should be identified!! he's man enough to make threats, he's man enough to charged as an adult, n identified. what's going on with all these kids with guns n making threats? Anderson, Oconee, Walhalla, Easley, Spartanburg it's all over now since the ga. shooting. even in KY? where's the parents?
