Man’s death inside Piedmont Park being investigated as a suicide

A man was found dead in Piedmont Park on Monday morning. Police are investigating his death as a suicide.

A Channel 2 Action News photographer on the scene saw caution tape being put up in the area near the dog park.

Officers said they received a call around 7:35 a.m. in regards to a body in the park. Police said it appears at this time that the man killed himself.

The man’s name has not been released. The Fulton County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
