Police investigating reported stabbing on West Street in Worcester

WORCESTER — Police were called to a reported stabbing around 2:08 p.m. Wednesday on West Street, according to police.

Police taped off a block-long crime scene Wednesday afternoon, between Cedar and Elm streets. Blood was noticeable on the sidewalk in front of 47 Elm St.

A police spokesman said a 32-year-old male victim was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital.

It remains under investigation.
