Bond Vet, a fast-growing chain of veterinary care clinics, will be adding new Long Island locations in Merrick and Woodbury.

The Merrick and Woodbury vet clinics will be the company’s second and third Long Island locations, following the 2,500-square-foot clinic at 855 East Gate Blvd. in Garden City which open in March 2021.

The new 2,925-square-foot Bond Vet in Merrick at 2192 Merrick Road is being redeveloped at a property last occupied by a Capital One Bank branch. The new 2,700-square-foot Bond Vet in Woodbury will be in the Woodbury Commons at 8285 Jericho Turnpike and is expected to open in the fall.

Construction contracting firm Eastman Cooke & Associates is working on the interior renovation project for the new Woodbury Bond Vet.

Bond Vet received a $170 million investment from private equity firm Warburg Pincus last fall to assist in its expansion plans.

Bond Vet provides both urgent and primary care, and offers online booking and walk-ins. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bond Vet also introduced telehealth visits to broaden access to veterinarians, and initiated drop-off visits at clinics to minimize exposure.

Cassie Durand, Adam Bass and Eric Gillman of CBRE represented Bond Vet in the Merrick and Woodbury lease transactions.
