City of LaGrange shuts down for Memorial Day
LaGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — The City of LaGrange has announced it will be closed on Monday, May 27th. City Officials said all garbage pickup days will be pushed back one day. For example, if pickup day is Monday, then it will be moved to Tuesday due to the holiday.

MABLETON – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a officer involved shooting that occurred during a stole truck call. The GBI is investigating an officer involved shooting in Cobb County, Georgia. The Cobb County Police Department asked the GBI to conduct an independent investigation on May 17, 2024. One man later identified as Clifford Jacoby Beck, age 40, of Griffin, GA, was shot and killed. No officers were injured in this incident.
Coweta County man honors fallen heroes with personal Memorial Day tribute
COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - A Coweta County man has turned his front yard into a giant Memorial Day display to honor fallen military members. While most people tend to their lawns by mowing and weeding, John Ivey of Senoia has turned his front yard into something meaningful for Memorial Day. He has placed 100 white crosses and etched plaques with the names and photos of fallen U.S. service members.
LaGrange murder suspect recaptured after escape
LAGRANGE, Ga. (WTVM) - A murder suspect who escaped from the LaGrange Police Department on Monday afternoon is back in custody. Police say Brantorain Truitt, 22, who is charged in a 2023 murder case, was recaptured at his residence on Wall Street a short time after his escape. He surrendered following negotiations with authorities.
