Officials have identified the three men who were fatally shot at a Woodbridge, Virginia, home last week.

The Prince William County Police Department said shots were fired inside of a home in the 14700 block of Birchdale Avenue on Friday, May 26. Four men were struck, three of whom died from their wounds.

On Monday, police named the deceased as 37-year-old Edwin Geovanny Salmeron, 41-year-old Luis Alonzo Salgado-Rivas, and 23-year-old Kevin Josue Vallecillo Mendoza. All three men were Woodbridge residents.

Detectives believe the victims were attending a gathering at the Woodbridge home, when one of the attendees pulled a gun and opened fire. The alleged shooter is thought to have fled the neighborhood.

Salmeron was pronounced dead at the scene. Salgado-Rivas and Mendoza later died at area hospitals. The fourth victim, a 21-year-old man, is expected to recover.

“Detectives are continuing to actively investigate the incident to determine what led up to the shooting and are seeking to speak with anyone who has information regarding this incident,” police said in a news release. “More information will be released when available.”
