Lubbock’s Mugshot Monday: 100 People Arrested in Just Two Weeks
We are back this week after the hiatus from the Memorial Day three day weekend which only means one thing. A lot of mugshots and things you missed. If you haven't been living in Texas the past two weeks then you might be in Seattle but lately with all the rain it's hard to tell the difference between the two. That's right we have had tons of rain just hitting Texas and hopefully bringing in lots of crops this fall. One downside is all the flooding that's been happening in cities and rural areas. Don't worry though, if you live in Texas then you could take advantage of the situation and start collecting your own rainwater. It's perfectly legal and encouraged in Texas.

LUBBOCK, Texas– Angel Contreras, 23, was arrested and accused of leading the Lubbock Police Department on high-speed chase Saturday night. Man identified in fatal East Lubbock crash on Sunday night
A man died in Lubbock Sunday night, after a vehicle struck a pedestrian in East Lubbock, according to a police news release. About 9:45 p.m. Sunday, June 4, police arrived in the 1800 block of Parkway Drive to a reported vehicle crash with a pedestrian. Officers found Rickey Morrison, 60, with serious injuries. He was transported to UMC, where he was pronounced deceased.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle at Parkway Drive and Redbud Avenue. Police say the call came in at 9:45 p.m. Parkway Drive will be closed for westbound traffic from Zenith Avenue to MLK Jr. Blvd while police work the scene. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

Top 10 Most Wanted fugitive captured in Lubbock
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - David Earl Thomas, 62, a high-risk sex offender, was arrested by the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office on May 17, with a reward paid for his capture. Thomas is one of three Most Wanted fugitives captured in Texas recently. DPS released this statement on Friday afternoon:

Lubbock police, TAG arrest two involved in drive-by shooting, seize new evidence
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Lubbock police and the Texas Anti-Gang Center are investigating a drive-by shooting possibly related to the Bandidos motorcycle gang. On 5/21/2023 Investigators with the Texas Anti-Gang Center (TAG) in Lubbock worked with Lubbock PD detectives to identify the suspects in a drive-by shooting that took place in the 4900 block of 41st Street as Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Gang members Joedaniel Herrero, 27, and Mark Escobedo, 30. On 5/23/2023, Lubbock TAG partners executed a search warrant at a residence in the 5200 block of 46th Street resulting in the arrests of Herrero and Escobedo for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and the seizure of a stolen firearm, drug, and gang evidence. On 5/30/2023, Lubbock TAG partners executed a search warrant at a residence in the 5200 block of 71st street resulting in the seizure of evidence related to the driveby shooting and a firearm.
Lubbock man admits to brother-in-law's shooting death, sentenced to 20 years
A 37-year-old man who admitted to fatally shooting his brother-in-law three years ago in the back seat of a vehicle was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in prison. Adrian Castillo, who has been out on bond since Oct. 16, 2019, appeared before District Judge William Eichman and pleaded guilty to a count of manslaughter in connection with the Sept. 28, 2019, shooting death of 36-year-old George Garcia Jr.
