Lansing shooting sends teen to hospital, suspects at large

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Lansing Police Department responded to a shooting Saturday night on the south side of Lansing.

Police tell 6 News that a call came in at around 10 p.m. Saturday regarding a shooting at the intersection of Ingham Street and Risdale Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene to find a teenage boy with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The teenager was taken to Sparrow Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they believe they know who is responsible, but no one has been arrested at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Police also say they believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.
