    One person in custody after car crashes into home

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A driver is in custody after crashing into a home on Friday morning, according to the Lansing Police Department.

    Police say the crash happened after 1 a.m. at the intersection of North Cedar Street and East Maple Street. This is near downtown Lansing and north of East Oakland Avenue.

    6 News was at the scene where a white/ silver sedan drove through the front porch of a vacant home. This caused the roof to partially collapse and fall on top of the rear end of the vehicle.

    Police say there were no injuries, and the driver was taken into custody. They say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. This incident is under investigation.

    Thankful I and my loved ones weren’t out on the roads at that time. Just drunk drivers, they can run each other over or off the road I don’t give a 💩.
