Police identify man in deadly Labor Day car crash

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Lansing Police have identified Michael Poirier, 58, of Holt, as the man who died in a car crash early Monday morning.

Police were dispatched to S. Cedar Street and E. Edgewood Blvd. around 1:30 a.m. Poirier died on the way to a local hospital after going into cardiac arrest. police said.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor, but the investigation is still ongoing.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600.
