LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has confirmed human remains were found at a home where authorities said they were searching for a missing person last week.

The multi-agency search was launched Sept. 12 after Metro Nashville Cold Case Homicide detectives, along with Murfreesboro police, reportedly received a tip in the missing persons case that led them to the home off Burnt House Road in Lebanon.

According to officials, the search was related to the disappearance of 23-year-old Blanca Guadalupe Berrios Orellana , who was last seen at her Antioch apartment in August. However, authorities have not confirmed the identity of the remains.

In an email Wednesday, a spokesperson for the TBI said further testing is being done to determine the identity. No further information was immediately available.

Orellana was reported missing by her mother on Aug. 21. However, the last time anyone saw her was a few days earlier on Aug. 18. According to her mother, the 23-year-old said she was going to Murfreesboro to visit a family member.

“Some days, I think they took her and some days, I don’t really think anything,” Blanca’s mother, Ines Berrios told News 2 through a translator.

According to Berrios, Orellana’s car was found parked at her stepfather’s house, but the family hasn’t been able to get ahold of him.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and an urban search and rescue team also assisted in the search at the Lebanon location last week. Investigators have not released any further details regarding what led them to the house, which is still under construction.

Neighbors reported seeing Orellana, who has a job in the cleaning business, working at the home a few weeks ago. They also told reporters they saw officers haul off a dumpster sitting on the property during the search.
