MANCHESTER, Tenn. (WKRN) — Whataburger is expanding its reach in Tennessee, this time in more rural quarters.

Manchester will reportedly be the next Tennessee city to welcome the Texas-based burger chain.

A report from the Manchester Times says the 24-hour burger chain is set to open in late 2025.

An agenda from the Monday, Sept. 16, meeting of the Manchester Planning Commission lists a site plan for a proposed Whataburger location at 2758 Hillsboro Highway as an action item. Minutes from the meeting were not immediately available.

    • Nashville Pike in Gallatin
    • South Cumberland Street in Lebanon
    • Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro
    • Sam Ridley Parkway West & Old Nashville Highway in Smyrna

A Mt. Juliet location is also on the horizon this year, joining the heavy Nashville-area presence. There are also three Memphis-area locations already open.

The Manchester location would be the furthest east the chain has expanded in Tennessee. A spokesperson for Whataburger told News 2 the “don’t have any details to share” about the proposed location.
