    Band of the Week: Baker High School

    MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Congratulations to The Pride of Baker High School Marching Band for winning JBT Power Band of the Week for week 3 of 5th Quarter!

    The Pride of Baker High School Marching Band is led by drum major Noah Colvin and assistant drum majors Regan Glass and Hadley Carpenter.

    The Baker High School band is also led by Band Director Sidney Dedeaux and assistant band directors Greg Puckett and Cheyenne Higgs.

    The band consists of 202 students, who participate in wind ensemble, symphonic band and concert band.

    All three concert bands along with the color guard, dance team and drumline come together to form the The Pride of Baker High School Marching Band.

    The Pride of Baker High School Marching Band has performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York and the Alabama Music Educators Conference.

    The band has had superior ratings at the Alabama Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessment and many years of superior ratings in area and regional marching contests.

    Students in the Baker High School are active in the Mobile County Honor Band and the Alabama Bandmasters Association All-State Band Festival and Solo Festival.

    Baker High School band members actively participate in various instrumental honors ensemble festivals and clinics throughout Alabama and surrounding states.
