    Vehicle crashes into Escambia County building connected to sheriff’s office: FHP

    ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A vehicle crashed into the building that houses the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Work Release Program Thursday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

    According to an FHP crash report, the driver of the vehicle was traveling southwest on W Fairfield Drive approaching W Texar Drive when he failed to take the curve and continued heading south.

    That’s when the vehicle left the road and hit the building. The driver was taken to Baptist Hospital with serious injuries.

    The crash happened around 6:50 a.m. in Pensacola.
