    Mobile Police investigating Dollar General retail theft

    MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — The Mobile Police Department is investigating after a retail theft occurred at a Dollar General over the weekend.

    Explosion at Evonik chemical plant in Theodore

    According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the Dollar General store at 1310 Springhill Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, for reports of a robbery.

    LOCATION:

    The release said officers learned that a security guard attempted to confront someone who was attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise.

    MPD said the confrontation was unsuccessful and the alleged retail theft is under investigation.

    People need to realize that retail stores will prosecute, so stealing isn't going to get them where they want to be in life.
