Johnson City to open reservations for Candy Land Christmas trees Aug. 19

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Downtown Johnson City will begin taking reservations for its Candy Land Christmas event on August 19 at 9 a.m., according to a release from the city.

Cupcake Commons (King Commons Park) and Gumdrop Forest (Founder’s Park) will feature more than 180 real, illuminated Christmas trees decorated by area businesses and non-profit organizations.

The cost to reserve a tree is $200, but 40 spots are available for non-profit organizations at $150 per tree, the release said.

Those interested in reserving a tree can do so here . The trees will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
