Symphony comes to Ward Elementary

CLEMMONS — Students returning to Ward Elementary School after summer vacation are in for a unique treat.

According to an announcement from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools communications department, violinists with Piedmont Learning Academy for Youth (P.L.A.Y.) will welcome students back to school with a “soothing performance” upon their arrival, from 8:15 – 9 a.m.

P.L.A.Y. is part of the Winston-Salem Symphony. It has classes for all second and third grade students throughout the year. According to the announcement, fourth grade students will get an after school P.L.A.Y. Club.
