MOTHER. HOW IS SHE DOING. A 14 YEAR OLD LAYLA JONES WAS LAST SEEN ON JANUARY 14TH, LEAVING HER HOME IN WINSTON-SALEM. HER FAMILY FILED A POLICE REPORT THAT NIGHT, BUT POLICE JUST SENT OUT A NEWS RELEASE ABOUT HER BEING MISSING THIS WEEK. LAYLA’S MOTHER TELLS ME THAT SHE HAS BEEN FIGHTING EVER SINCE JANUARY AND SHE JUST WANTS HER TO COME HOME. I DON’T SLEEP AT NIGHT. I DRIVE MYSELF CRAZY AT NIGHT, INSANE. AND STILL TRYING TO KEEP MYSELF TOGETHER FOR MY CHILDREN. I’M A NERVOUS WRECK AND THE ONLY THING THAT I BREATHE AND I ASK FOR AND I SEEK FOR IS LAYLA CAMERA JONES. ON JANUARY 14, 2023, LAYLA JONES WAS LAST SEEN WALKING OUT THE BACK DOOR OF HER HOME ON NORTH PATTERSON AVENUE IN THIS VIDEO THAT A NEARBY NAPA AUTO SHOP CAPTURED ON THEIR SECURITY CAMERA, YOU CAN SEE A GREEN 2000 BUICK CENTURY DRIVING OFF. POLICE SAY LAYLA WAS LAST SEEN GETTING INTO THAT VEHICLE. THAT’S THE LAST I SEEN MY BABY AND AND WHOEVER, YOU KNOW, KNOWS WHERE SHE IS. AND THIS PERSON THAT CAME AND GOT MY DAUGHTER JUST BRING HER BACK. LET HER GO. WANDA BELLE, LAYLA’S MOTHER SAID AFTER SHE LEFT, THEY LOOKED INTO HER SOCIAL MEDIA AND FOUND SHE WAS TALKING WITH AN OLDER MAN ONLINE. THEY BELIEVE SHE WAS LURED INTO LEAVING BY THE PERSON WHO PICKED HER UP AND THAT THIS IS A KIDNAPING. IF YOU HAVE MY BABY, PLEASE LET HER GO. LET HER GO. BRING HER HOME. BELLE SAID LAYLA COULD BE PREGNANT. SHE SAID SHE WORRIES LAYLA IS IN DANGER AND HAS A MESSAGE FOR HER. LAYLA, COME HOME. COME HOME. PLEASE COME HOME. CALL ME, PLEASE. I’LL GO IN YOUR ROOM EVERY NIGHT JUST TO SMELL YOUR SMELL. I READ SOME OUT THE BIBLE TO YOU. I SPEAK TO YOU IN YOUR ROOM. I SPEAK TO YOU OUTSIDE. I SPEAK TO YOU IN THE. BABY. COME HOME. AND WE ASKED POLICE IF THEY BELIEVE LAYLA IS IN DANGER AND WHY IT TOOK SO LONG FOR THEM TO REPORT HER AS MISSING TO THE PUBLIC. WE HAVEN’T HEARD BACK YET ON THAT. A Winston-Salem mother is pleading for the public’s help in finding her 14-year-old daughter, who was last seen in January. Fourteen-year-old Laela Jones was last seen on Jan. 14, 2023, leaving her home in Winston-Salem. Her family filed a report with police that day, but they didn’t send out a news release about it until this week. A WSPD spokesperson said they've been, "very actively investigating this case since it was reported in January following up on any and all leads. This press release was sent out in an effort to generate assistance from the public in this case." Laela Kamoria Jones is 5 feet, 4 inches and 140 pounds. She was last seen on Jan. 14 wearing a robe with glittery sparkles that say "DRIP" on it, black leggings, fluffy black sides and a pink bonnet on her head.     Laela’s mother said she’s been fighting since January for answers and for her daughter to come home.

    “I don't sleep at night. I drive myself crazy at night, insane, and still trying to keep myself together for my children. I'm a nervous wreck and the only thing that I breathe and I ask for and I seek for is Laela Kamoria Jones," Laela's mother, Wanda Bell, said.

    On Jan. 14, 2023, Laela Jones was last seen walking out the back door of her home on North Patterson Avenue in Winston-Salem. A nearby NAPA Auto Parts captured video of Laela on their security camera. It shows her in a green 2000 Buick Century driving off. Police say Laela was last seen getting into that vehicle.

    "That's the last I’ve seen of my baby and whoever, you know, knows where she is and this person that came and got my daughter. Just bring her back. Let her go," Bell said.

    Bell said after she left, they looked into her social media and found she was talking with an older man online. They believe she was lured into leaving by the person who picked her up and that this is a kidnapping.
