Two drivers die in accidents days apart in Winslow

WINSLOW - A motorist's death in a single-vehicle accident on Monday is the second such fatality here in recent days.

John N. Grasmick, 57, of Atco was fatally injured when his SUV struck a pole off Williamstown Road near Lakedale Road around 8:50 p.m., police said.

On May 30, Damion Cheeks, 46, of Bridgeton died when his car overturned after hitting a fence and trees off Norcross Road around 4 a.m.

An obituary described Cheeks, the father of a daughter, as a Bridgeton High School graduate and a "true entrepreneur."

A single-vehicle accident killed a passenger in a vehicle on the westbound Atlantic City Expressway in Winslow around 3 p.m. on May 23.

Percell Gray, 36, was fatally injured when a car that he was in hit multiple trees and overturned near mile post 33.3, according to New Jersey State Police.

The driver sustained serious injuries and three additional passengers received injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
