WINONA LAKE, Ind. (WANE) – After four successful seasons at Grace College, Prairie Heights High School graduate and former Highlight Zone standout Elijah Malone will play his final season of college basketball at the University of Colorado.

Malone, a 6-foot-10 post player, made his announcement Monday morning at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center. Malone, who will graduate from Grace this coming Saturday, has one year of eligibility remaining due to playing during the COVID season of 2020-21.

Once he put his name in the transfer portal following the 2023-24 season, he received offers from over 30 Power Five schools, and took visits to Colorado, Indiana, Notre Dame, and Boise State before choosing the Buffaloes.

The NAIA National Player of the Year this past season, Malone also won the Bevo Francis Award as the top player in small college basketball.

He is Grace’s ninth all-time leading scorer with 1,953 points, along with ranking ninth in school history with 1,017 career rebounds. He is first all-time with 308 blocks and with a 65-percent field goal percentage.
