Gerald Guest: HB 1205 nothing more than unnecessary government interference
The bill HB 1205 has been sent to the governor. If he does what is right, the governor should veto the bill. HB 1205 attempts to ban transgender girls from participating in public school sports and this would begin in fifth grade. There is nothing broken and nothing to fix. School sports have existed fairly since the beginning of Native American lacrosse games. Focus on those that voted for this unnecessary government interference. It is primarily driven by hate. There is enough randomization and dilution of transgender children in the population to even the playing field from school to school. What about students who are stronger and faster or maybe are 6 feet, 8 inches tall, whether boy or girl, should they be banned? If this bill stands, imagine the cruelty involve in examining and interrogating children that may be involved due to the thinking of misguided legislators. Remember this nonsense when it is time to vote. Contact governorsununu@nh.gov to express an opinion.

The Highland Lake Loons Have Returned
The Highland Lake loons arrived back after an early ice-out on March 17th. I was able to confirm in early May that the nesting pair- banded a few years back – are in fact the pair occupying the territory. Both have blue over silver bands on the right leg. He has green on the left – she has yellow over red on her left. This does not mean that other loons won’t be seen coming and going on the lake. It does mean that this pair will most likely nest.
