This year, 6 seniors have stepped up to the plate in taking the role of a Glenbard South superfan. Harper Bryan, Angjelos Salca, Lorenza Simbulan-Foster, Rayna Davis, Jake Bailey and Victoria Aldana are this year’s Super Fans. U.S. Open: Shaine Casas Rips 200 IM in B-Final; Caeleb Dressel Also Wins in Consol Heat (Men’s Recap) On an evening when Drew Kibler ripped a lifetime best to announce himself as a Paris contender in a new event, veteran Chase Kalisz scored a come-from-behind win and Michael Andrew won a 50 freestyle from lane eight, the most notable men’s swims occurred in the consolation finals, first in the 200 IM when Shaine Casas blasted a sub-world-record pace opening 100 meters on the way to a swift final mark and then in the 50 free as Caeleb Dressel continued his comeback in fine fashion with a heat win.
The Grind Comes to a Short Halt: Conclusion of Fall Sports
It is hard to believe that already over a quarter of the school year has passed. Fall sports have come to a close and students are ready for indoor winter athletics. Before the morning announcements are overruled by forthcoming victories of our winter athletes, there is a surplus of achievements that need to be recognized by our very own fall athletes. Fenwick students participated in golf, football, girls’ tennis, hockey, girls’ swimming and diving, boys’ soccer, cross country, cheerleading, and girls’ volleyball over the season. Fans were able to disperse among the courts, gyms, rinks, and fields to exemplify true Friar pride.

The College of DuPage men’s basketball team kept finding the net consistently against Aurora University junior varsity on Nov. 28 at home. The Chaparrals took the momentum against the Spartans and capitalized on their consistent foul trouble. Zallis named new OPRF girls soccer coach
Lauren Zallis has been named Oak Park and River Forest High School’s new head varsity girls soccer coach. Zallis takes the reins from Christie Johnston, who stepped down from the Huskies over the summer after six seasons, compiling a 32-51-2 record and an IHSA Class 3A regional title in 2021.
