Where To Celebrate Bastille Day 2024 in Southern California Style

Every July 14th I have the urge to throw on a beret, grab a hand-full of baguettes, and drink so much French wine. This day of French independence is a homage to the storming of the Bastille that took place on July 14, 1789, where a violent uprising occurred and helped to usher in the French Revolution. The Bastille was a military fortress and prison, and was demolished after the famous storming. Tomorrow we will raise a glass in honor, speak all the French we can muster, and ring in a joyous year for France which has them only weeks away from hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics in the amazing city of Paris. Here are three places to celebrate Bastille Day tomorrow in Southern California.
The newly announced 2-Key Hotel will bring together French chefs from Los Angeles to Los Cabos on the property’s Ocean and Pacific Lawns to showcase French culture and cuisine. Members of Master Chefs of France – an honor which is bestowed on immensely skilled French chefs with at least 10 years of professional cooking experience, will take guests on an authentic journey during which they will experience French culinary delights crafted by each chef, French patisseries and desserts, flowing rose, French wines and spirits by Wally’s Wine & Spirits, a Veuve Clicquot Camper, live entertainment, and more, all while taking in Southern California’s stunning coastline views.
The event will take place from 11:30am – 2:30pm and reservations can be made by clicking the link here .
For a taste of France in the heart of Century City, Fairmont Century Plaza ’s signature restaurant— Lumière Brasserie —celebrates Bastille Day with a special brunch on Sunday, July 14. From 11 AM to 3 PM, enjoy live music from the enchanting jazz trio, Chloé Perrier and the French Heart Jazz Band, while indulging in exquisite French specialties.
Savor delicious dishes such as Moules Frites with Saffron Aioli ($28), Paté de Campagne with Iberico and Grilled Rustic Bread ($36), and Duck Confit with Frisée Salad ($36). Enhance your brunch with complimentary tastings of Cheese and Charcuterie, perfectly paired with Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Whispering Angel Rosé.
Bastille Day at Lumière Brasserie promises a celebration of French culture and cuisine, exceptional music, and a vibrant atmosphere—an unforgettable brunch experience not to be missed!
In celebration of Bastille Day, Paris-raised multilingual singer, songwriter, and accordionist Jessica Fichot returns to Benny Boy Brewing to present her captivating collection of “chansons.” From lively gypsy-jazz influenced tunes, to playful pop numbers, and jazzy call-and-response songs, Jessica's repertoire, sung primarily in French, also includes selections in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish. Come celebrate this festive occasion with an evening of vibrant French and international music, complimented by delicious French food, and of course, great beer and ciders!
With Jessica Fichot (vocals, accordion), Chloe Feoranzo (clarinet, sax), Tom Moose (guitar), Alexis Soto Jr (upright bass), and guests!
In addition to making amazing beer, they also have a ciderworks on site! Click here to learn how Benny Boy Brewing has worked to bridge the cider and wine world together.
