Regulators reject Woodstock water rate hike as provider faces aging infrastructure, flood damage
The Woodstock Aqueduct Company needs cash, but the state’s not ready to let them raise their water rates right now. The company told the Public Utility Commission (PUC) last month that it wanted to raise its rates by more than 100%. A typical user would see a monthly bill go from $240 to $525.
Road Closure In Lebanon At Sam Ralston, Riley Set For Monday
The City of Lebanon has announced that a road closure will be in effect at the intersection of Sam. Ralston Road and Riley Road on Monday. The city stated that due to unforeseen circumstances, the intersection of Sam Ralston Road and Riley Road will be closed Monday, May 20 for utility construction. Community members are encouraged to plan a different path around the construction for Monday.

Grafton Village Cheese Okemo Valley store grand opening
PROCTORSVILLE, Vt. – Grafton Village Cheese invites the public to help celebrate the grand opening of their new Okemo Valley retail store over the Memorial Day Weekend. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Okemo Valley Chamber of Commerce will kick off the event on Friday, May 24, at 12 p.m. The celebration will continue Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., wrapping up Monday at 12 p.m. Each day will include cheese and gourmet food samples, live entertainment, daily raffles, and kids’ activities.

LUDLOW, Vt. – Ludlow Rotarians learned about local efforts to help children impacted by the war in Ukraine at the May 7 luncheon at DJ’s Restaurant. Past Rotary District Governor J.B. Work underway to expand access at Mascoma Lake
ENFIELD, N.H. (WCAX) - Public access to Mascoma Lake in Enfield, New Hampshire, is improving. Work crews are in the process of building out parking spaces and stormwater management at Mascoma Lakeside Park. Officials say there will be more than two dozen parking spots as well as handicapped access trails.
