Retired PA State Trooper sentenced for deadly Southington crash
A retired Pennsylvania State Trooper involved with a deadly vehicle crash in Southington back in November of 2023 has learned his fate in court Tuesday. Fifty-five-year-old Joseph Yuran was handed an indefinite concurrent sentence of seven to 10 and a half years in prison plus 180 days in jail on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and OVI stemming from a crash that claimed the life of 23-year-old Tyler Richmond. He must also pay a $1,075 fine.

High school football: Perry moves up to Division IV as OHSAA announces football regions, divisions
There will be a new Division V state champion football team this fall. When the Ohio High School Athletic Association announced its divisional and regional alignment for the coming fall on April 25, it was revealed that the Perry Pirates have bumped up from Division V to Division IV. The Pirates won the program’s first state championship in football this past December with a 21-14 win over Liberty Center.
Lake County teen shot, hospitalized in fight: Police
PAINESVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - The Painesville Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred shortly after a fight Saturday afternoon. Painesville Police Lt. Toby Burgett says a 17-year-old boy arrived to University Hospitals TriPoint Medical Center in Concord following the shooting, which occurred at 2:56 p.m. in the area of Brentwood Drive and Chestnut Street.
