No injuries were reported.

At 3:05 p.m., two motorists near County Road 23 and state Highway 392 reported a man in a similar vehicle brandishing a firearm at them and were able to obtain a license plate number, police said.

That plate number was registered to Kyle Bertsch, 39, of Windsor, according to the department.

Police believe that Bertsch has left the “immediate area,” but a shelter-in-place notification was issued for a short time for the Gyrfalcon Drive shooting.

Police say Bertsch is armed and dangerous. He is described as 5-foot-8 and 195 pounds with red hair and brown eyes. Police say he was last seen driving a maroon 2017 Ford F-350 pickup with a Colorado license plate of ARD-833.

Anyone who sees Bertsch is asked to stay away and call 911.
