Winder Police find missing elderly man

Winder Police said Tuesday morning at about 10 a.m. that they have located a missing elderly man.

Robert Daniel Hanson, 70, was first reported missing Monday evening.

The Winder Police Department issued a missing person alert Monday evening after they say a 70-year-old Winder Man went missing Monday afternoon.

According to the Be On the Lookout alert, Robert Daniel Hanson, 70, suffers from bipolar schizophrenia. A Mattie's Call issued by the Georgia State Patrol said Hanson has been off of his medicines for two weeks.

Hanson was last seen wearing a yellow rain jacket, blue jeans, white shoes and a camouflage baseball hat at about 4:45 p.m. Monday on Dogwood Drive.

He was described as standing 5'07" tall and weighing 150 lbs. He is a white male, who is balding with a white beard and brown eyes.

"He typically walks up and down North Broad St., but has also walked much further," the BOLO reads.
