Wilton police have taken in a person of interest as they investigate the suspicious death of a man found in a detached garage, according to Deputy Chief Robert Cipolla.
Police responded to a property on Partrick Lane off Nod Hill Road after a 911 call from a neighbor reporting the death around 11:15 a.m., Cipolla said in a news release. The man wasn’t breathing and “appeared to have endured significant trauma.” He was pronounced dead on scene by a paramedic.
Police did not elaborate on who their person of interest is but said, “There are no outstanding threats to public safety.” That was evident to our News 12 crew, who arrived on scene just after 1 p.m. Partrick Lane was blocked off all afternoon, but people who lived there could still come and go and a school bus went through.
Police have not released the dead man’s name at this time. They said an update on the investigation will come Wednesday.
