BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WFSB) - On September 24, officers responded to Norman Street for a report of a citizen being physically assaulted and possibly shot. Upon arrival, police found two men, Raymond Delgado and Luis Santiago, standing over the victim and beating him with closed fists and the magazine well of a firearm.

Police said two large dump trucks were removed by police, fire, animal control and the Building Department.

Danbury resident Diego Vizhco, age 38, was charged on Wednesday, Sept. 27, for falsely reporting a robbery on Newtown Road on Sunday, Sept. 10, at the store on Newtown Road. According to Danbury. Police, Vizhco initially told police that he and his family had been kidnapped at gunpoint in the parking lot of Stop & Shop. He then told police that he was forced to drive to the Bank of America on Main Street, withdraw cash, and then drive back to Newtown Road. The alleged gunman then took the money and fled the scene.

Bridgeport Police arrested four suspects involved in a triple shooting on Park Avenue. The efforts by the police to detain the individuals are a part of what is known as operation “Take Back Park Ave,” an initiative that was first sparked after multiple other shootings and a stabbing that resulted in three deaths. These incidents have taken place in a matter of mere months, with the first in May.
