Portland police investigating possible serial killer victim
A homicide case out of Clark County associated possibly linked to a local serial killer has been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Portland Police Bureau. Joanna K. Speaks, 32, is one of five young women whose bodies were found within three months earlier this year in the greater Portland area. Investigators previously announced that the other four have been linked to a single person of interest. West Linn-Wilsonville School District bus crashes with motorcycle Monday morning
A motorcycle rider died Monday morning, Nov. 27 following a crash involving a West Linn-Wilsonville School District bus in Tualatin. According to a Washington County Sheriff’s Office press release, the crash, which took place around 7:15 a.m. near 65th Avenue and Prosperity Park Road, is still under investigation. Notifications have been sent to the families of the two children on the bus, the press release stated. The children and the bus driver were not injured. Further details on the crash had not been released as of press time.

A Centennial neighborhood woman identified her 50-year-old son, James “Jamie” Mack, as the person fatally shot Saturday night on their front porch in Southeast Portland. Two incidents occurred in Tigard, Oregon this week. In the first incident, a man was found guilty of an armed robbery at a pawn shop. He entered the shop with an accomplice, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash from the workers. In the second incident, a man living out of a van in Tigard was charged with sexually explicit online communication with a minor. He used social media to communicate with an 11-year-old child and attempted to arrange a meet-up. The man was arrested by Portland Police and the FBI.
